Community foundations are independent, locally-run organisations working in a distinct geographic area which over time build up a collection of funds from donors in the community.
They provide services to the community, make grants and undertake community leadership and partnership activities to address a wide variety of needs in their service areas.
The Marysville and Triangle Community Foundation was formed to continue the recovery process after Australia’s worst natural disaster, the 2009 bushfires.
The Foundation has been formed to provide benefits not just for Marysville and surrounding communities, but for the wider Murrindindi Shire area by delivering services, making grants and undertaking community leadership and partnership activities.
The Marysville and Triangle Community Foundation Limited is a public company limited by guarantee and is not for profit. The company acts as the trustee of the Marysville and Triangle Community Foundation which is a registered charity.
